JIRA comment behaviours broken in Issue View Screen

We have a behavior script intended to auto-set the comment visibility level to our internal users project role when the commenter is a member of a group assigned to all employees. It's worked well enough since JIRA 6.4 and Scriptrunner 4.0 (whichever was the first commercial release), but I'm figuring something changed with the rich editor comment box in the JIRA 7.3 series, because it's now semi-broken.

Basically, it used to always work for every instance of the comment box except for the agile side-pane and email parsing. But as of 7.3.2, it now doesn't work on issue detail pages (/browse/PRJT-1111) when clicking the Comment button at the bottom of the page itself.

Comments left in pop-ups (transitions, edit, etc) still trigger the behaviour correctly and will auto-set the visibility as intended.
