setHelpText() Help Text for Cascading Field is displayed at odd position on Service Desk Portal

      Description

      Summary

      The help text set via Behaviour .setHelpText() for Cascading Field on the Service Desk Portal is displayed right next to the field instead of under it.

      Steps to Reproduce the Problem

      1. Create a Select List (cascading) custom field & name it 'Cascading List'
      2. Add the field to one of the request types in a Jira Service Desk project
      3. Create a Behaviour, map it to the Service Desk project & add the script below as Initialiser script
        def cascadingList = getFieldByName("Cascading List")
        cascadingList.setHelpText("This is a help text for testing purpose.")
        

      Expected Behaviour

      The help text appears below the Cascading List field.

      Actual Behaviour

      The help text appears at an odd position right next to the Cascading List field.

      Workaround

      Use setDescription() to add a short text below the Cascading List field.

      def cascadingList = getFieldByName("Cascading List")
      cascadingList.setDescription("This is a help text for testing purpose.")
      

      Additional Info

      • The help text displays correctly for Cascading List field on Create Issue, Edit Issue & transition screens.
