Description
Problem
Clicking on the IntelliJ icon in ScriptRunner 5.6.6, 5.6.6.1-jira8 (and beyond) throws the "Editor reported a failure..." error. See screenshot.
Some customers have also reported seeing a
javax.net.ssl.SSLException: Received fatal alert: certificate_unknown
error in IntelliJ's logs. See attached support tickets.
Potential Cause
Looks like SR is attempting to hit some endpoints which it cannot find. I have not done much investigation into this, but worth looking into for the developer working on this.
Workaround
- Downgrade to ScriptRunner 5.5.9 for Jira 7
- Downgrade to ScriptRunner 5.5.9.1-jira8 for Jira 8
NOTE: There is a bug where the IntelliJ icon is not present in 5.6.1 and 5.6.2
